Improving the Quality of Life in Anne Arundel County
Fund for Anne Arundel (Endowment) A permanently endowed discretionary fund that will be invested year after year to support local nonprofits that are addressing the community's most critical needs.
Community Leadership Fund Your support allows CFAAC to respond quickly and effectively to the most pressing community needs and issues through changing times.

The Capital Gazette Families Fund The Fund was established in honor of The Capital Gazette newspaper employees and their families. The Fund will be used to directly assist those families of the victims who were killed and the survivors who were employed/contracted by the Capital Gazette newspaper at the time of the shooting on June 28, 2018.
The Capital Gazette Memorial Scholarship Fund The Capital Gazette Memorial Scholarship Fund has been created in memory of the lives lost during the tragic attacks on the Capital Gazette newsroom. The fund will provide an annual award for select students pursuing a degree in Journalism at the University of Maryland, College Park. The fund celebrates the lives of Gerald Fischman and John McNamara, who were alumni of the University; Robert Hiaasen, a lecturer in Journalism at the University; Wendi Winters, a reporter at the Capital Gazette; and Rebecca Smith, who worked on the Capital Gazette sales team.

Anne Arundel County Animal Control Anne Arundel County Animal Control is dedicated to promoting the humane treatment of animals, providing temporary housing, ensuring safe human-animal interactions and the opportunity for the public to adopt animals.
Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities The Anne Arundel County Department of Aging's mission is to improve the quality of life of our citizens by providing options and resources to older adults and adults with disabilities to enable them to live independent and meaningful lives. They provide nutrition, education, affordable housing, and programs at senior centers, as well as, ensure compliance with ADA regulations and act as advocates to protect rights and self-directed choices.
Anne Arundel County Department of Health The Department of Health's mission is to preserve, promote and protect the health of all people who live, work and play in Anne Arundel County. They are committed to providing leadership, guidance and information to ensure that every resident has seamless access to public health services. And they strive to provide strong, sustainable partnerships with the community.
Anne Arundel County Department of Social Services The Department of Human Services' mission is to aggressively pursue opportunities to assist people in economic need, provide prevention services, and protect vulnerable children and adults.
Anne Aundel County Fire Department The Anne Arundel County Fire Department's mission is to stand ready as an all-hazards organization to assure the safety of our communities. They respond to calls for service, fires, medical and other emergencies as well as promote fire prevention strategies and life safety programs. The Anne Arundel County Fire Department enforces fire code compliance to ensure that buildings and properties are safe.
Anne Arundel County General Fund Anne Arundel County's vision is that it will be the best place to live, work and start a business in the State of Maryland.
Anne Arundel County Partnership for Children, Youth and Families The Anne Arundel County Partnership for Children,Youth and Families' mission is to reduce the impact of parental incarceration on children, families and communities; improving outcomes for disconnected youth; reducing childhood hunger; and reducing youth homelessness in Anne Arundel County. The Partnership also convenes community stakeholders to develop local funding and programmatic solutions for children and families.
Anne Arundel County Police Department The Police Department's mission is to protect life and property from the threat of criminal activity, respond to calls for service from victims of crime, enforce criminal and traffic laws, promote crime prevention strategies, assure that police officers are well trained and engage with residents to maintain strong community-police relations.
Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks Department The mission of Recreation & Parks is to enrich the lives of Anne Arundel County residents by offering quality active and passive recreation opportunities and accessible youth and adult services while pursuing the preservation and enhancement of our natural, cultural and historic resources. They also operate and expand community parks, expand bike trails, provide access to county waterways and manage open space land uses.
Designated Purpose
In Your Honor Fund In Your Honor Fund was created to honor special people and moments. Gifts can be designated in memory of a loved one that has passed away, honor a living person, or commemorate an anniversary, graduation, or other milestone or special event. All gifts made will be designated to the Fund for Anne Arundel, an endowed fund that supports local nonprofits addressing our community's most critical needs. Each gift to the In Your Honor Fund will be acknowledged to the honoree. The name of the individual being memorialized or honored will be added to the In Your Honor Fund page on CFAAC's website.
Field of Interest
Grants 4 Teachers Provides grants to Anne Arundel County Public School teachers to fund creative ideas to stimulate and inspire student learning.
Help Our Neighbors Provides support to local agencies that respond to urgent assistance for basic human needs for families (e.g. emergency expenses, rent, utilities, licenses and certifications, transportation to work, essential medication, medical care).
Strengthening Nonprofits Fund Provides funding for nonprofit organization professionals, volunteers, and board members to receive training in: board development, fundraising and development, marketing and communications, and nonprofit management.
Community Crisis Response Fund The Community Crisis Response Fund will provide flexible financial assistance for needs immediately following a violent incident, natural disaster or other crisis in our community. Funding will go to Anne Arundel County nonprofits, county agencies and departments to support community capacity building and/or community healing. The goal of the fund is to improve community safety, well-being and resiliency.
Giving Circle
Anne Arundel Women Giving Together Endowment This fund was established to permanently support Anne Arundel Women Giving Together's grantmaking activities.
Anne Arundel Women Giving Together Anne Arundel Women Giving Together (AAWGT) is a women's giving circle that pools individual contributions for "collective philanthropy" to improve the quality of life for women and families in Anne Arundel County. Annual Membership in AAWGT is $575. Annual Associate Membership is $300.
Lifting Anne Arundel Lifting Anne Arundel is a Giving Circle dedicated to supporting small nonprofits that address social and economic needs in the county. If you would like to be a member, you can join at the desired level below by selecting recurring donation amount, entering the desired membership level amount (Individual: $175+/year; Family: $350+/year; Feeling Spunky: $1,000+/year; Corporate: $2,000+/year), and then selecting year in the drop-down menu.
